About the position

As a Marketing Operations Manager at Ping Identity, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all essential marketing systems that drive our marketing efforts. Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing Operations, your primary responsibility will be to provide insights into the overall effectiveness of our marketing programs. This will involve maintaining up-to-date reports and dashboards across our technology stack, ensuring that we are leveraging our tools to their fullest potential. You will be tasked with optimizing and troubleshooting our Marketo systems, ensuring adherence to best practices across our suite of marketing tools, and addressing any process flaws or synchronization failures that may arise in relation to new leads and opportunity creation. In this role, you will support the execution, maintenance, and continuous improvement of various marketing programs, governance, reporting, and strategic initiatives that enhance team performance. Your responsibilities will include the development and optimization of marketing technology, as well as managing marketing program operations such as webinars, website management, online advertising, field marketing, account-based marketing (ABM) programs, content syndication, nurture programs, and direct marketing. You will also focus on developing and optimizing end-to-end program reporting and analytics, with a keen emphasis on pipeline and revenue generation. Your oversight will extend to managing the lead flow of all marketing programs, which includes lead segmentation and targeting, ensuring email deliverability, optimizing landing pages, and maintaining data hygiene and cleanup. You will have tactical oversight of Marketo, our marketing automation platform, and its interactions with other integrated systems such as Salesforce, external data sources, and more. Establishing best practices for data flow through systems, marketing campaigns, lead scoring, and prioritization will be key to your success in this role. Additionally, you will keep a holistic view of our tech stack to ensure best practices are followed, avoid duplicative tools, and maintain accurate and up-to-date data. Your role will also involve improving processes related to our tech stack and managing a variety of technology, data, and service vendors. Finally, you will segment and utilize the marketing database to enhance campaign effectiveness and troubleshoot and QA campaigns, workflows, data issues, and other essential marketing operations functions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the lead flow of all market programs, manage lead segmentation and targeting, email deliverability, landing page optimization, data hygiene and cleanup
  • Tactical oversight of Marketo, our marketing automation platform, and the interactions with other integrated systems such as Salesforce, .com, external data sources, and more
  • Establish and create best practices as it relates to data flowing through systems and to the sales team, marketing campaigns, lead scoring and prioritization, data integrity, and more
  • Keep a pulse on our tech stack holistically to ensure we are using best practices, avoiding duplicative tools, and data is remaining accurate and up-to-date
  • Improve any processes as it relates to our tech stack
  • Manage a variety of technology, data, and service vendors
  • Segment and use the marketing database for greater campaign effectiveness
  • Troubleshoot and QA campaigns, workflows, data issues and other essential marketing ops functions

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in operations, finance, business administration, marketing, or management
  • 5+ years of experience in consulting, operations, strategy, marketing, or related functions
  • Hands-on experience in Marketo, Marketo Certified Expert preferred
  • Additional experience with other marketing systems, especially Salesforce and DemandBase
  • Experience leading complex operational and strategic projects
  • Management experience
  • Proven track record of performance in a strategy & operations role or comparable experience in marketing, business strategy, operations, strategy/corporate development at a high-tech company, or technology-focused firm
