About the position

The Marketing Operations Manager at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP is responsible for optimizing and coordinating the operational aspects of the firm's marketing initiatives. This role requires collaboration with global marketing teams and internal departments to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency. The position involves managing vendor relationships, implementing workflow management, and leading project management efforts to ensure successful outcomes in a law firm environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives and streamline marketing processes and workflows.
  • Assist with managing vendor, contractor, and supplier portfolios.
  • Manage vendor and consultant relationships to ensure SLA and budget adherence.
  • Coordinate with finance/budget teams for monthly department forecast reviews and identify opportunities for reductions.
  • Implement workflow management for new project and change requests.
  • Own workflow automation technology and processes in collaboration with marketing and BD senior leadership.
  • Lead updates and changes to internal team HUB and org charts.
  • Engage with clients and external partners to understand needs and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior team members.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans and status reports.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in operations management, project management, or client service.
  • Proven history of managing complex projects in a global matrix environment.
  • Experience in the legal industry or a similar professional services environment is a plus.
  • Extensive experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior stakeholders.
  • Risk management experience, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
  • Background in budget management and financial oversight of projects.
  • Exceptional project management skills with a deep understanding of methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with project management and workflow automation tools such as Asana, Jira, and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
