About the position

At Medtronic, the Marketing Operations Specialist for Cardiac Ablation plays a crucial role in planning, implementing, executing, and evaluating marketing communications and events targeted at healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients globally. This position requires a strategic mindset to develop key customer engagement opportunities that encompass all elements of HCP engagement. The specialist will be responsible for managing various events, ensuring they align with the overall marketing strategy and deliver a superb customer experience. The role involves initiating event plans, overseeing the logistics of events, prioritizing them based on marketing goals, and tracking their impact. The specialist will capture customer feedback to refine event strategies and will interact directly with HCPs to ensure their needs are met. Regular communications for event participants will also be a key responsibility, ensuring that all events are successful, timely, and within budget. Events managed by the specialist will include a variety of formats such as Virtual Procedure Observations, Peer to Peer meetings, Center of Excellence visits, Advisory Boards, New Technology Physician visits, Conference Symposiums, Proctorships, and Registry or Survey HCP update meetings. The specialist will also ensure marketing support and foster cross-functional collaboration by working closely with departments such as Sales, Marketing, Training & Education (T&E), and Compliance. In addition to event management, the specialist will direct day-to-day activities across multiple work-streams, manage project plans, conduct resource allocation, status reporting, and resolve issues while identifying project risks and ensuring accountability for deliverables. This role is integral to the success of Medtronic's marketing efforts in the Cardiac Ablation space, contributing to the company's mission of alleviating pain, restoring health, and extending life.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, execute, and evaluate marketing communications and events for Cardiac Ablation healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Initiate event plans and manage logistics for various events.
  • Prioritize events to support overall marketing strategy.
  • Track and measure the impact of events and capture customer feedback.
  • Interact with HCPs to ensure a superb customer experience.
  • Create and execute regular communications for event or network participants.
  • Ensure events are successful, timely, and within budget.
  • Manage multiple work-streams and direct day-to-day activities.
  • Conduct resource allocation, status reporting, and issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of corporate experience.
  • Proficient in core business software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook.
  • Proven planning and project management skills.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively plan and manage projects.
  • Experience as a liaison between Marketing and Sales.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Business writing and editing experience.
  • Experience managing client/customer relationships.
