About the position

Micron Technology is seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join its Global Communications & Marketing (GCM) organization as a Marketing Planning and Operations Program Manager. This full-time position will involve a dual role, splitting time equally between Project Management Operations and Operations Program Manager responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading multiple projects and initiatives while ensuring operational excellence and attention to detail. The role requires a dynamic individual who can manage various responsibilities simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively across teams. In the Project Management Operations aspect of the role, the individual will handle request intake, documentation, and reporting. This includes maintaining comprehensive project documentation, preparing regular project status updates, and coordinating with project managers to ensure resource management within Workfront. The candidate will also be tasked with identifying opportunities for process improvement and maintaining best practices to enhance project efficiency. Additionally, they will serve as a point of contact for customers seeking information about program and project management functions, soliciting feedback after each program or project. As the Operations Program Manager, the individual will organize and coordinate the GCM's Operational Excellence Forum, facilitating discussions on best practices and processes. They will also manage the GCM Connected program, which focuses on team-building and volunteer events, and oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes for GCM employees. Data analysis and reporting will be crucial in this role, as the candidate will collect and analyze data related to operational programs and prepare reports to communicate findings and recommendations. Overall, this position is integral to ensuring that Micron's marketing operations run smoothly and effectively, contributing to the company's vision of transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all.

Responsibilities

  • Intake and assign new requests within GCM.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
  • Prepare and distribute regular project status updates to collaborators.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other departments to ensure hours and resources are supervised within Workfront.
  • Monitor resource utilization and raise any issues that arise.
  • Find opportunities to improve project management processes.
  • Maintain the best protocols and standard operating procedures to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customers seeking information about program and project management functions.
  • Solicit and compile feedback after each program or project via surveys and debriefs.
  • Develop and lead plans, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve objectives and deliverables.
  • Communicate project progress status and mitigate risks.
  • Facilitate meetings, including kickoffs, status updates and debriefs.
  • Organize and coordinate GCM's Operational Excellence Forum.
  • Find and schedule topics for the Operational Excellence Forum, increasing engagement and assisting with presenter preparation.
  • Coordinate team-building and volunteer events for the GCM Connected program.
  • Own the internal onboarding/offboarding processes for GCM employees.
  • Collect and analyze data related to operational programs and prepare reports and presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communication, or project management.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, operations, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).
  • Experience with project management tools such as Monday.com, WorkFront, Asana, etc.
  • Professional certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and multitasking abilities.

  • Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
