About the position

The Marketing Product Consultant & Translation Specialist position is a critical role within the Servicing Communications division, focusing on the management and quality assurance of Spanish translations for various Consumer & Small Business products and services. This role involves overseeing the translation of marketing materials across multiple channels, including ATM, Financial Centers, Digital Content, Mobile Banking, Statements, Direct Mail campaigns, Claims, Fraud, and Mortgage letters. The consultant will work independently to proofread Spanish translations, ensuring they are accurate and consistent with the English versions and the terminology used in other marketing materials in Spanish. In addition to translation management, the consultant will be responsible for processing urgent communications that arise from service disruptions, requiring quick turnaround times of 24-48 hours. Collaboration with an enterprise translation agency is essential to monitor quality, maintain consistency across communications, and provide updates to the translation memory. The consultant will also manage the overall translation processes for Marketing, including implementing updates and improvements to processes and communicating changes that may impact the Non-English-language translation process. The role requires completing an average of 80 reviews per month through the Marketing Approval Portal (MAP), emphasizing the need for timely and efficient work. This position is ideal for a self-starter with strong project management skills and the ability to influence business partners while supporting vendor management. The consultant will play a vital role in ensuring that all marketing communications are effectively translated and meet the high standards expected by the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage reviews of Spanish translations across Consumer & Small Business products and services.
  • Proof-read Spanish translations ensuring accuracy with the English version and consistency with other marketing materials in Spanish.
  • Process communications urgently needed due to service disruptions, requiring quick turnaround times.
  • Monitor quality and consistency of translations in partnership with the enterprise translation agency.
  • Manage overall translation processes for Marketing, including updates and process improvements.
  • Complete an average of 80 reviews per month through the Marketing Approval Portal (MAP).

Requirements

  • Proficient in Spanish reading, writing, and speaking; ability to pass Written Certification Test.
  • Self-starter with excellent verbal, written, and people skills.
  • Ability to influence business partners and support management of the vendor.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to identify and escalate concerns/issues with a sense of urgency.

  • Proficient with PowerPoint & Excel.
