About the position

The Marketing Project Coordinator position is a full-time role within the Marketing Department, primarily responsible for the coordination and project management of all marketing programs within the casino. In this role, the Marketing Project Coordinator will work closely with various internal departments, including casino marketing, advertising, direct mail, graphic designers, and player development, to ensure that all campaigns and projects are efficiently completed and implemented. The coordinator will document all projects in detail, track their progress daily, and report activities to the Director of Marketing and key marketing representatives to ensure alignment and accountability. The essential functions of this position include providing project management support for the entire marketing department, maintaining and executing subscriptions and memberships, processing purchase orders and travel requests, coordinating communication for all marketing campaigns, and providing continuous marketing strategy support. The coordinator will also create and proofread marketing materials such as brochures, proposals, and newsletters, assist in developing marketing initiatives, and produce event reports that track attendance, expenses, and successes while making recommendations for future improvements. Additionally, the Marketing Project Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring and scheduling internal displays, creating marketing plans under the direction of the Marketing Director, and assisting in the development of promotions and events. This role requires strong organizational skills, as the coordinator will need to keep storage areas clean, track promotional participation information, and serve as a liaison to all departments regarding promotions and events. The position also involves executing drawings and tournaments on the casino floor, providing an entertaining environment for guests, and performing other related duties as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Document all projects in detail and track progress daily
  • Report all activities and progress to the Director of Marketing and key marketing representatives
  • Provide project management support for the entire marketing department
  • Maintain and execute subscriptions, memberships, renewals, and process all purchase orders, travel requests, and expenditures
  • Coordinate the communication of all marketing campaigns
  • Provide continuous marketing strategy support
  • Create and proofread brochures, proposals, newsletters, and other marketing promotional documents
  • Assist with the development and implementation of marketing initiatives
  • Produce event reports (pre & post) tracking attendance, expenses, successes, and making recommendations for improvements
  • Monitor and schedule internal displays
  • Create marketing plans under the direction of the Marketing Director
  • Assist in creating and developing promotions, events, and activities with the Marketing Manager
  • Complete the process of submitting promotional one sheets
  • Prepare graphics requests to supplement promotions, events, and activities
  • Order supplies needed to implement/execute promotions, events, and activities
  • Organize and keep storage areas clean
  • Track promotional, event, and activity participation information through Excel
  • Serve as a liaison to all departments regarding promotions, events, and activities
  • Execute drawings/tournaments on the floor and provide an entertaining environment for guests
  • Work at events as needed
  • Perform other duties related to the work described.

Requirements

  • A BA/BS degree in Marketing or related field
  • 2-4 years of relevant sales/marketing/project management experience working in a mid-size casino property or retail
  • Strong presence and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to engage and inspire others with enthusiasm and approachability
  • Comfortable speaking in front of crowds and appearing on camera
