Educational Services

About the position

Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is an educational service company that provides an array of support services in the post-secondary education sector. Formerly part of Grand Canyon University (GCU), GCE still supports and works closely with GCU. GCE designs and develops educational programs for GCU and other traditional campus institutions, as well as online partner institutions at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. GCE is seeking a full-time Marketing Project Specialist who will assist the assigned Regional Marketing Manager in creating and establishing effective marketing and branding initiatives. This position is based in Phoenix, AZ, but the company is currently in an indefinitely remote status. There may be department meetings or training sessions that require in-person attendance, with proper health and safety measures in place and advance notice provided. In this role, the Marketing Project Specialist will manage marketing campaigns from formulation to execution for assigned clients. This includes meeting with marketing management to ascertain clients' specific needs and objectives, and then collaborating with other internal marketing partners to create effective marketing campaigns. The specialist will be a member of the internal marketing “creative” team, assessing and recommending communication opportunities, methods, channels, and promotional mixes. Participation in campaign strategy sessions alongside marketing management is essential to ensure that the recommended marketing plans meet clients' current and future needs. The specialist will apply considerable knowledge of marketing principles and techniques to assist in creating marketing campaign plans utilizing both digital and traditional marketing methods and channels, such as brochures, flyers, posters, postcards, direct mail, billboards, apparel, emails, landing pages, micro sites, social media, and radio. They will confer with marketing management to confirm the relevance of the overall plan, participate in meetings to get approval for marketing campaigns, and coordinate the deployment of marketing activities with all relevant stakeholders. Keeping marketing management informed of progress and potential issues, the specialist will make recommendations to ensure plans are well-coordinated and synchronized, while safeguarding GCU's branding strategy in the development of materials and media. Additionally, they will develop performance metrics and reporting for ROI on marketing campaigns and coordinate with other affected departments on regularly scheduled events to ensure the availability of appropriate support. The specialist will also recommend new approaches and ideas in brainstorming meetings that demonstrate the most current and leading-edge marketing techniques in the public domain.
