About the position

The Marketing/Promotions Coordinator at Boise State University plays a crucial role in advancing and protecting the university's institutional identity. This position involves developing and implementing marketing plans, managing social media, overseeing graphic design, and coordinating communication efforts directed at relevant audiences. The coordinator will work independently with general supervision, contributing to the College of Innovation and Design's mission to enhance access, affordability, and employability for students.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee messaging and content posted to various social media platforms.
  • Serve as an advocate for the university, ensuring quality and production associated with university events.
  • Maintain professional flexibility to accommodate rapidly changing processes and priorities.
  • Make recommendations and implement social media best practices.
  • Manage, coordinate, and deliver concepts and information to maximize the university's brand.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on marketing materials and projects.
  • Complete administrative tasks needed to support CI+D programs.
  • Attend recruiting and advising events to represent CI+D programs.
  • Guide and execute programmatic, logistical, marketing, and communication elements.
  • Coordinate administrative activities requiring contact with executives and campus officials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 2 years of professional experience in marketing or communications.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in social media management and marketing plan implementation.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in graphic design software.

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience or equivalent.
