About the position

Dewberry is seeking an experienced Marketing/Proposal Manager to lead pursuit and proposal efforts in the Northeast region. The role involves creating compliant and compelling qualifications and submittals, working closely with a team of marketers to drive strategy and collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a marketing background in architecture, engineering, or construction, and will be responsible for managing multiple proposal efforts while ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Work in tandem with the Senior Marketing Manager and subject matter experts to determine go/no-go decisions, pursuit win strategies, craft sales messages, assemble pursuit teams, manage the proposal process, and develop proposal responses.
  • Write supporting sales materials, including project descriptions, resumes, service overviews, executive summaries, etc.
  • Drive the overall proposal process from start to finish, including lead kick-off meetings and color reviews.
  • Manage the capture plan document, document cataloging, managing individual and team deadlines, and meeting facilitation.
  • Comply with corporate standards to present a consistent appearance/style for presentation graphics, proposals, resumes, and collateral materials.
  • Manage multiple proposal efforts and teams simultaneously within diverse markets and service offerings.
  • Support Business Development and operational personnel in market research, competitor analysis, and client intelligence.
  • Organize marketing material for ease of use.

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. in Liberal Arts or equivalent experience required.
  • 8+ years' experience personally producing proposals and managing proposal efforts.
  • Extensive MS Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe InDesign experience.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective proposal management skills, including planning, organization, problem identification and resolution, and resource management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and prior experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and working collaboratively.
  • Must be available to work overtime as necessary to meet business requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in transportation, water and/or alternative delivery is preferred.
  • Other graphics software and CRM database experience are also desired.
