About the position

The Marketing & Public Relations Manager at White Mountains Community College (WMCC) is responsible for overseeing all marketing projects to ensure a positive and consistent brand for the college. This full-time position involves developing and implementing strategic marketing and communications plans, managing social media strategies, and coordinating various marketing materials and initiatives. The role requires collaboration with college leaders and departments to enhance the college's visibility and engagement with the community.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications plan for the college.
  • Lead the college's social media strategy and content development.
  • Create, design, and coordinate the production of marketing and promotional materials.
  • Work with departments and media outlets on strategic planning for college branding.
  • Oversee production processes, including advertising schedules and vendor management.
  • Coordinate content updates for the college website.
  • Utilize assessment tools like Google Analytics to evaluate marketing initiatives.
  • Develop marketing materials for college events.
  • Handle internal/external communication from the President's Office.
  • Maintain a graphics, photographic, and video library.
  • Train college personnel on graphic design and desktop publishing templates.
  • Represent the college at community events.
  • Assist the Admissions Office with enrollment management initiatives.
  • Maintain knowledge of student and academic programs and services.
  • Participate in System-wide Marketing Team meetings and other committees.
  • Manage the marketing budget for WMCC.
  • Comply with all relevant rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic arts, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
  • Four years of experience in marketing, advertising, journalism, public relations, communications, or electronic graphic design.

Nice-to-haves

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Experience with MS Office software.
  • Familiarity with WordPress, MAC environment, CMS, CSS, HTML, and Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator).
  • Ability to design visually attractive materials to enhance the college's brand.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $55,347 - $65,025 annually.
  • Full-time employment with exempt status.
