About the position

The Marketing & Public Relations Manager at Dr. Black's Eye Associates is responsible for leading the practice's marketing initiatives, developing and implementing strategic marketing plans, and enhancing community awareness of the practice's brand. This role involves coordinating outreach programs, managing budgets, and serving as a liaison between the practice and referring providers, while also advocating for patients and representing the practice's interests professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and foster relationships with optometric and other referring providers.
  • Communicate regularly with referring providers who co-manage patients with the practice.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure proper communication and follow-up with referring providers.
  • Evaluate and develop a marketing strategy and plan.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate marketing efforts.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement the practice's strategic marketing plan, goals, and objectives.
  • Manage and track the marketing and advertising budget, including expenditures and return-on-investment.
  • Coordinate market research and analyze competition and demographics.
  • Manage graphic design for all marketing promotions and ensure effective website promotion.
  • Oversee community outreach programs, including vision screenings and health programs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in business, marketing, or communications.
  • Proven experience in running a marketing team and marketing campaigns.
  • High competency in project management and communication of results to stakeholders.
  • Experience in marketing within a medical practice environment, especially ophthalmic/optometric, is preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in outreach activities.
