The Marketing and Public Relations Manager at the National Black Arts Festival (NBAF) plays a pivotal role in enhancing the organization's public perception and community engagement. This position is responsible for the creation and execution of a comprehensive marketing and public relations plan that supports all NBAF departments, including Public Programs, Youth Programs, Special Events, and Fund Development. The ideal candidate will be a highly qualified, motivated, and professional individual with experience in both public relations and marketing management. They will develop and maintain important relationships with media professionals, identify press opportunities, and market NBAF's initiatives to diverse audiences across multiple platforms. The Marketing and PR Manager will manage all aspects of marketing and PR on a day-to-day basis, ensuring brand consistency and professionalism in all communications. This includes overseeing social media and digital content creation, managing media inquiries, and tracking spending to effectively allocate budgeted funds across various initiatives. The role requires exceptional communication skills, exemplary storytelling abilities, and a keen sense of social media strategy and best practices. The candidate will also need to grow and develop strong connections with community partners in the arts and entertainment industry. Reporting directly to the Artistic Director, the Marketing & PR Manager will create engaging marketing plans for all of NBAF's programs, initiatives, and events. They will be responsible for writing and disseminating press releases, managing the design and creation of marketing graphics and videos, and ensuring that all organizational marketing materials are current and accurately reflect the brand's messaging. The position is not remote or hybrid; the candidate must work onsite and may need to work evenings and weekends based on business needs.
