About the position

The Marketing Representative/Account Manager at Bakersfield Family Medical Group is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders, including health plan representatives, employer groups, and community leaders. This role involves promoting the organization's services, managing enrollment processes, and providing consultative support to clients, particularly in the context of Medicare and HMO plans. The position requires a strong understanding of healthcare trends and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain relationships with health plan representatives, employer groups, and community leaders.
  • Present BFMG and/or CCPN's services and protocols to clients in a persuasive manner.
  • Attend and facilitate marketing events such as Senior Expos and Medicare 101s.
  • Assist members with information on insurance plans and resolve client concerns.
  • Work with the marketing department to promote business practices and develop marketing plans.
  • Prepare monthly reports on HMO enrollment activity and provider satisfaction surveys.
  • Maintain promotional material inventory and assist with marketing strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • One year of experience with public contact or public speaking.
  • Experience in healthcare, preferably with Medicare, is preferred.
  • Proficient with computer programs and knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Valid California Driver's License and current vehicle insurance.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Insurance license in Accident & Health or Sickness preferred.
  • Experience working with seniors (65+) is a plus.

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly wage between $29.33 and $34.50 based on experience and qualifications.
