About the position

The Marketing Research Assistant position at Firstrade involves supporting the brokerage firm's marketing and business strategies by collecting, analyzing, and reporting on market data. The role is designed for individuals with a strong interest in financial markets and a keen eye for detail, contributing to the understanding of industry trends, client needs, and competitor activities.

Responsibilities

• Gather information on industry trends, investment products, and customer preferences.
• Conduct research on competitors and industry trends to keep our strategies up-to-date.
• Assist with surveys and data collection tools to gauge client satisfaction and interests.
• Use Excel and other analysis tools to interpret complex data, identifying trends and insights.
• Organize findings into reports and presentations, creating charts and visual aids for clarity.
• Share insights on client behaviors, product interests, and industry patterns with the marketing team.
• Help plan and execute research projects that support new product launches or marketing campaigns.
• Monitor the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, providing data-driven recommendations for improvement.
• Track regulatory changes, market developments, and competitor activities that may affect our services or clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.
• Bilingual Chinese/English including speaking and reading preferred.
• At least one year of experience or internship in finance, market research, or data analysis is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with data tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau) is a bonus.
• Interest in financial markets and understanding of basic investment concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear data presentation.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks.
