About the position

The Marketing Development Representative (MDR) at Verkada plays a crucial role in the company's sales process by leveraging data-driven strategies to generate leads and set up sales meetings for Account Executives. This position is designed for individuals looking to start their career in sales, with the opportunity to transition into an Account Executive role after approximately one year. The MDR will follow standardized processes to qualify leads, utilize sales tools, and achieve sales targets while receiving extensive training and support.

Responsibilities

  • Qualify and convert a high volume of marketing leads into prospective customers.
  • Generate sales-ready meetings and opportunities for Account Executives.
  • Provide accurate lead distribution and thorough discovery to assigned Account Executives.
  • Utilize Verkada systems such as SalesForce and sales enablement tools according to standards.
  • Identify pre-selected insights and metrics applicable to the leads generated.
  • Follow scripted materials to demonstrate product expertise when connecting with clientele.
  • Achieve and push the limits of quota, territory revenue, and growth objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Passionate, high energy, and enjoy being challenged
  • Self-starter with the ability to learn and follow standardized processes in a fast-paced sales organization
  • Ambition and desire to grow and advance in a sales career

Nice-to-haves
