About the position

The Marketing Social Media Manager at Zeta Charter Schools is responsible for overseeing various marketing activities that support student and talent recruitment, fundraising efforts, advocacy campaigns, and other organizational initiatives. This role requires collaboration with the director of marketing to create impactful content and manage social media strategies across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing and communications, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to analyze data to inform strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Create original video and graphic design content using in-house tools (Adobe InDesign / Premiere Pro, Canva) and distribute across owned and paid platforms including Meta (Instagram, Facebook), LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and Twitter.
  • Implement content strategies and manage social media calendars.
  • Ensure content is delivered and optimized across audiences on time through social media management tools (e.g., Loomly, Hootsuite, Sprout).
  • Analyze engagement data, gather insights across platforms and consolidate into monthly comprehensive reports.
  • Stay on top of social media and digital marketing trends and best practices to inform Zeta content and social media strategies.
  • Maintain Zeta's website, including regular content updates as needed and reviewing website analytics to inform content and social media strategies.
  • Support Director of Marketing in creating scalable processes, managing audience engagement, and partnering with advertising agencies to deliver effective paid media.
  • Wear multiple hats as a part of a lean startup team, supporting the work of others on the team and taking on new projects and tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of professional experience.
  • Marketing and/or communications experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience developing high impact content and simultaneously managing multiple paid and owned social media campaigns required.
  • Superb organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance and audience data and generate meaningful insights.
  • Comfort in learning new tools and platforms; eagerness to learn and grow.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in charter schooling or other mission-driven, fast-growth organizations preferred, but not required.
