About the position

The Chaldean American Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Marketing & Social Media Specialist to enhance its marketing efforts and community engagement. This role involves managing social media content, facilitating marketing campaigns, and creating promotional materials for events, with a focus on the Chaldean community.

Responsibilities

  • Manage marketing and fundraising initiatives, including digital, social media, and email marketing strategies.
  • Research new and emerging technologies and trends in social media.
  • Build social media presence, promote brand awareness, and facilitate community engagement.
  • Moderate all social media channels to increase engagement and brand affinity.
  • Develop social media content calendar and work daily on social media channels including copywriting and creating and/or editing digital graphics.
  • Execute key website projects and ongoing website tasks.
  • Implement strategic metrics to gauge effectiveness of all marketing programs.
  • Provide day-to-day ownership and expertise on social content publishing tools, including posting of all content, moderation, and promoted post targeting.
  • Assist with event and membership promotion, including collateral, entertainment, member participation, digital presence, and email enrollment.
  • Attend and staff events, meetings, and various off-site functions.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient office operations.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of marketing or digital marketing work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of social media presence building and branding.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Multi-tasking and project management abilities.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with Constant Contact and Adobe Creative Cloud software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Fluency in Arabic and/or Chaldean preferred.
  • High energy, positive attitude, and flexibility.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently to complete projects on time without daily supervision.
