Weee! Inc is seeking a Marketing Specialist focused on the Chinese market to join our dynamic team. As the largest and fastest-growing ethnic e-grocer in the United States, Weee! is committed to providing affordable access to exciting ethnic food. This role is pivotal in enhancing our brand presence across various social media platforms, particularly within the Chinese digital landscape. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for creating and curating engaging content tailored for platforms such as Xiaohongshu, Instagram, Facebook, WeChat, and Weibo. This position requires a proactive approach to monitoring social media interactions, responding to comments and messages, and managing any negative feedback or crises that may arise. In addition to content creation, the Marketing Specialist will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with influencers, identifying potential brand partnerships, and ideating influencer campaigns that align with product launches and key marketing moments throughout the year. The role also involves planning, executing, and optimizing paid social media advertising campaigns across various platforms, ensuring that our messaging resonates with our target audience. Collaboration with the merchandising team is essential to develop creative assets that effectively communicate our brand values and offerings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the Chinese digital landscape, culture, and consumer behavior, along with experience in managing content for WeChat and Xiaohongshu. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite products is required, as well as familiarity with analytics tools specific to Chinese social media platforms. This position is suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adaptable to evolving responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Create and curate engaging, high-quality content for social media platforms, including Xiaohongshu, Instagram, Facebook, WeChat, and Weibo.
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across social media platforms.
  • Handle and address negative feedback or crises on social media promptly and professionally.
  • Build and maintain relationships with influencers and identify relevant influencers for brand partnerships.
  • Ideate influencer campaigns to support product launches and key moments throughout the year.
  • Plan, execute, and optimize paid social media advertising campaigns on platforms like Xiaohongshu, Weibo, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Work closely with the merchandising team to develop engaging content and creative assets that resonate with the target audience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
  • 1-3 years experience in managing and creating content for WeChat official accounts and Xiaohongshu posts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite products (InDesign, Premiere, Photoshop, etc.).
  • In-depth understanding of the Chinese digital landscape, culture, and consumer behavior.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools specific to Chinese social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles for Chinese search engines.
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced environment, evolving responsibilities, and wearing multiple hats.
