About the position

The Marketing Specialist - Creative Copywriter at Lidl is responsible for developing content that aligns with the brand's voice and tone. This entry-level position supports various marketing and digital channels and collaborates with internal teams and external agency partners. The role involves managing projects, creating marketing content, and ensuring a consistent brand experience across all communication channels.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and manages assigned project and/or departments data, ensuring it meets predetermined contractual or policy requirements.
  • Conduct data entry and data management for various department projects.
  • Assist with the development of training materials such as manuals, handbooks, presentations, diagrams, workflows, and project plans.
  • Manages projects, work processes, systems, and/or procedures to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Update guidelines, standard operating procedures, and instructional materials.
  • Identify, develop, and propose opportunities for business and process improvement.
  • Support in national and international projects, producing business requirements, performing business system tests and technical improvements.
  • Oversee digital and printed communication to support various campaigns and provide a consistent brand experience for customers in all channels.
  • Draft, create and execute content for all marketing projects while adhering to Lidl's brand guidelines.
  • Accurately prepare creative files and materials for print or digital deployment.
  • Collaborates with internal and external designers in developing and optimizing workflow processes.
  • Contribute solutions based around understanding the business needs and initiatives.
  • Assist in coaching designers on style guides and brand identity.
  • Communicates with and supports external partners/vendors on projects as needed.
  • Creates detailed briefs for internal and external creative teams regarding various projects.
  • Provides detailed creative judgement by reviewing internal and external creative work to ensure assets properly reflect the brand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, marketing, advertising, communications, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to time manage multiple weekly priorities as well as ad-hoc tasks with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to create collaborative relationships across internal departments.
  • AP Style knowledge.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of retail and customer brand experience.
