About the position

FM:Systems, now a part of Johnson Controls (JCI), is seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving demand and generating high-quality leads through the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns. The Marketing Specialist will work cross-functionally with key stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, and Product Management to create strategies that enhance brand awareness, influence pipeline development, and accelerate deals through the sales funnel, ultimately contributing to new business revenue. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this position requires a proactive approach to marketing, with a focus on collaboration and alignment with sales goals. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and targeting contacts through various channels, managing lead qualification scoring, and setting up automated workflows to nurture contacts through the funnel. You will collaborate closely with the sales team to optimize marketing campaigns, tools, and materials, ensuring that marketing efforts are aligned with sales objectives. Additionally, you will create playbooks tied to marketing campaigns to support sales follow-up and alignment efforts. The Marketing Specialist will leverage and manage the marketing tech stack, including HubSpot, Salesforce, BigMarker, Asana, and Canva, to streamline and scale marketing efforts. Monitoring and analyzing the performance of marketing activities will be crucial, as you will provide regular reports, identify insights, and recommend actionable plans to optimize programs. Staying updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in demand generation will be essential to continuously improve marketing program effectiveness. You will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and cleanliness of data within the CRM and marketing automation system, contributing to the overall revenue goals of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to drive new contacts, convert leads, and engage previously un-engaged audiences.
  • Identify and target contacts through various channels, manage lead qualification scoring, and set up automated workflows to nurture contacts through the funnel.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to align marketing efforts with sales goals, optimizing the use of marketing campaigns, tools, and materials.
  • Create playbooks tied to marketing campaigns to support sales follow-up and alignment efforts.
  • Leverage and manage the marketing tech stack, including HubSpot, Salesforce, BigMarker, Asana, and Canva, to streamline and scale marketing efforts.

  • Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in demand generation to continuously improve marketing program effectiveness.
  • Ensure the accuracy and cleanliness of data within the CRM and marketing automation system.

Requirements

  • University degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate marketing, preferably in a B2B market and/or SaaS industry.
  • Proven track record of creating marketing programs, including executing and running campaigns to drive qualified leads into the sales pipeline.
  • Comprehensive understanding of audience segmentation, persona or contact targeting, and behavioral targeting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication plus interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with marketing automation, project management, and other sales tools preferred (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Asana).
  • Proficiency with standard corporate productivity tools (email, virtual meetings, MS Office).
