The Marketing Specialist for Enrollment at California Baptist University (CBU) plays a crucial role in supporting the university's enrollment services through various marketing initiatives. This position is primarily focused on account management and the fulfillment of advertising across multiple channels, including email, direct mail, online platforms, print media, and broadcast. Additionally, the specialist will be responsible for managing indoor and outdoor signage, displays, and promotional products. The role requires a proactive approach to ensure that all marketing and communication projects align with the university's standards and deadlines. In this position, the Marketing Specialist will assist supervisors and admissions directors in the effective development and deployment of enrollment marketing projects and campaigns. This includes managing multiple concurrent projects while maintaining high standards of excellence and a positive attitude. The specialist will be expected to communicate proactively with supervisors regarding project deadlines and any potential issues that may arise. The role also involves utilizing customer relationship management (CRM) and marketing automation software to maintain and update marketing campaigns. The specialist will create and update digital assets for email communications and web pages, develop content for various marketing materials, and manage the inventory of promotional products. Staying current on successful marketing strategies and collaborating with third-party vendors to fulfill marketing requests are also key responsibilities. The Marketing Specialist will plan and attend discovery meetings with clients to fully understand project scopes and will work alongside other university stakeholders to develop unique promotions and events aimed at increasing university awareness and enrollment. The position emphasizes the importance of embodying the university's commitment to service, excellence, humility, and dignity in all interactions with clients and vendors. This role does not include supervisory responsibilities, allowing the specialist to focus on executing marketing strategies effectively.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • One to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, etc.).
  • Knowledge of HTML and project management software.
  • Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to plan, develop, and coordinate multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of the marketing process including strategy, design, production, and measurement.
  • Proficient in account management, project management, copywriting, and marketing terminology.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and marketing automation systems (e.g., Pardot).
