About the position

As a member of Facility Optimization Solutions, LLC (FOS), you will play a crucial role in enhancing our proposal writing and brand marketing efforts. This position is open to candidates across the United States, with a preference for those who can work in a hybrid model from one of our CannonDesign locations. Your primary responsibilities will include leading the development of proposal materials, coordinating and producing deliverables throughout the proposal process, and collaborating with marketing teammates and leadership to devise effective pursuit strategies. This involves engaging clients, crafting compelling proposals, and preparing for interviews to secure wins for our firm. In addition to proposal writing, you will be responsible for creating and updating marketing materials such as resumes, portfolio pages, and presentations, ensuring they align with our brand standards. You will also participate in the development of collateral that supports our various markets and services, while conducting marketing research to inform our overall strategy and individual client pursuits. Your role will extend to leading local and regional marketing activities, including sponsorships, award submissions, and events, all aimed at enhancing our brand visibility and aligning with our PR and communications objectives. To succeed in this position, you will need to develop a strong understanding of our firm's portfolio, personnel, and offerings, as well as gain subject matter expertise across various markets and services. You will maintain and update our Salesforce system for clients and pursuits, ensuring accurate proposal filing and conducting self-reviews of your work for quality assurance. You may also participate in external marketing activities and perform other duties as required, contributing to a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of proposal materials including coordination and production of deliverables across all stages of the process.
  • Collaborate with Marketing teammates and leadership of FOS to develop pursuit strategies, starting with client engagement, leading to proposal then interview to secure the win.
  • Create and update resumes, portfolio pages, presentations, and related marketing materials using design templates as inspiration and working within brand standards.
  • Participate in the development of collateral that supports our markets, offices, and services.
  • Provide marketing research for overall market/office strategy, as well as for individual clients and pursuits.
  • Lead local/regional marketing activities, such as sponsorships, award submissions, events, and photography, that align with PR/Communications objectives and increase brand visibility.
  • Develop strong, in-depth knowledge of the firm's portfolio, personnel, and offerings.
  • Develop subject matter expertise across markets, typologies, services, technology, or other areas that add value to marketing initiatives and pursuit activities.
  • Maintain and update Salesforce for clients and pursuits.
  • Properly and accurately maintain a proposal filing system.
  • Self-review all work for accuracy and quality of content.
  • Provide peer review and oversight for accuracy and quality of content.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of related work experience required.
  • Related experience working in a marketing or communications role for a professional services firm required.
  • Related experience working in the Architecture, Engineering, and/or Construction industry preferred.
  • Must be proactive, self-driven, organized, detail-oriented, and have an enthusiasm for innovation.
  • Strong time and project management skills are essential, along with the ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Solid skills in strategic thinking, writing, and design, with the potential and/or interest to further develop/excel in at least one of these areas.
  • Strong proficiency with InDesign, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Deltek CRM Vision, Salesforce, and Miro is a plus.
