About the position

The Services Marketing team within our Materials & Structural Analysis division at Thermo Fisher Scientific is dedicated to developing world-class service products for our Electron Microscopes while enhancing brand awareness among customers. This role is pivotal in defining and establishing processes that ensure all marketing efforts align with regulatory, legal, and brand standards. The team collaborates closely with global product innovation, service delivery, and service sales teams to drive strategic improvements that support our worldwide customer base. As a Marketing Specialist focusing on Pricing, you will play a crucial role in defining and executing pricing strategies for global labor and parts prices. Acting as a subject matter authority in pricing, you will provide mentorship to the broader Services organization, particularly in setting price expectations for new product launches. Your collaboration with the Product Lifecycle Management team will be essential in servicing our install base throughout the lifetime of the electron microscope. You will also coordinate with the Pricing Manager to drive the annual price update process and will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and maintaining pricing setups in our enterprise resource planning tools.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Parts and Labor Pricing processes and tools
  • Exhibit a passion for understanding pricing strategies and execution methodologies
  • Drive the execution of global marketing results based on defined strategic marketing plans
  • Work with internal colleagues to evolve and redefine the pricing structure within our operating environment (i.e. sales, delivery, and ERP tools)
  • Help drive process improvement, establish standard work, and improve reporting of pricing related activities (i.e. price realization, discounting behaviors, etc)
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory and legal advisors for implementation of a pricing strategy on a global scale
  • Collaborate with business, sales, and IT colleagues to define and implement pricing initiatives
  • Provide support to the Pricing Manager within Service Marketing, as needed

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is preferred, preferably within Finance, Marketing, or Business Administration
  • 3 years of experience, preferably in Marketing and/or Pricing roles
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems and complete tasks in an accurate and detailed manner
  • Experience running multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting project objectives
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible, positive demeanor and works independently in a changeable working environment
  • Ability to clearly communicate with a primarily English-speaking team
