About the position

The Marketing Specialist/Project Coordinator at Wycliffe Associates plays a crucial role in coordinating marketing and communications projects, producing materials, and writing marketing copy. This position is integral to supporting the organization's mission of training Christians worldwide to become Bible translators, ensuring that all marketing efforts align with the ministry's values and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates various projects in the marketing and communications department as assigned.
  • Coordinates scheduled work and projects with outside vendors as assigned.
  • Coordinates the creation and production of marketing and communications materials as assigned, including contracting vendors and working with writers, designers, printers, and consulting agency.
  • Coordinates the creation and production of communications for social media and online marketing campaigns.
  • Writes dynamic copy for WA's website, social media campaigns, and other projects as assigned.
  • Supports website link building efforts for SEO, ensures links are current, and maintains a blog.
  • Conducts interviews and gathers research for communications and marketing materials as requested.
  • Gathers project updates on funding projects and keeps department's Project Funding log up to date.
  • Coordinates marketing and communications team documents and resources on shared site.
  • Drafts and edits correspondence and reports in the marketing area.
  • Maintains a schedule of activities for the marketing & communications department.
  • Produces purchase orders for approval, processes invoices for payment, and maintains other special projects as assigned in the marketing & communications department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university; or three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Adept at learning new software tools and should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in project management and coordination.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and social media marketing.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
