About the position

Position: Marketing Specialist Carlie C's IGA is one of the fastest growing independent grocers in North Carolina with 32 stores. We are searching for a marketing professional for a new position as our Marketing Specialist. This position will facilitate our ongoing strategic vision for growth and expansion, with growth potential for the right candidate. The Marketing Specialist will be involved with the advertising budget with an emphasis on return on investment (ROI). This role requires accurately allocating advertising costs across all stores and working with proofing, printing, design, layout, and delivery of all printed advertising materials. The specialist will also develop, maintain, and monitor social media, e-commerce, website, in-store advertising, store messaging, and electronic advertising platforms. Additionally, the Marketing Specialist will execute special events at various locations, including live remotes and other traffic-building ideas. This position supports all staff associated with the online ordering, pickup, and delivery system, maintaining a formal training program for e-commerce. The specialist will work on developing and coordinating television and radio production for commercials and act as a liaison to the digital marketing agency and other agency partners. Furthermore, the role includes handling direct mail and print media placement for all store locations and being responsible for digital coupon development and tracking.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in marketing, preferably in a retail or grocery environment.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies and social media platforms.
  • Experience with budget management and ROI analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and external partners.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with e-commerce platforms and online ordering systems.
