The Marketing Specialist will serve as a crucial liaison between the company and its partners, ensuring that all marketing initiatives align with the company's strategic goals and the needs of the market. In this role, the Marketing Specialist will be responsible for visiting retailers to promote sales and assist in field research, which is essential for understanding market trends and customer preferences. The position also involves supervising IGT's gaming activities at marketing fairs and events, which requires strong organizational skills and the ability to engage with diverse audiences. Additionally, the Marketing Specialist will assist in the planning, coordination, and participation in new game testing, ensuring that all new products meet the high standards expected by both the company and its customers. The Marketing Specialist will also design and produce game/product sales presentations, participate in regional and statewide sales meetings, and maintain and update all training documents and reference guides for retailers and local staff. This role is integral to the success of IGT's marketing efforts, as it directly impacts sales and customer engagement. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of creativity, analytical skills, and a strong understanding of marketing principles, enabling them to contribute effectively to the company's growth and success.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the marketing activities in an assigned region, including marketing research and developing and implementing marketing promotions and product training.
  • Serves as a liaison between the company, lottery officials, and retailers.
  • Develops and provides training to retailers, lottery officials, and company staff on the operations of company equipment and games.
  • Visits retailers to promote sales.
  • Assists in field research to understand market trends.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of programs to increase sales.
  • Supervises the IGT gaming activities at marketing fairs and events.
  • Assists with the implementation of new games and new game improvements.
  • Assists in the planning, coordination, and participation in all new game testing.
  • Designs and produces game/product sales presentations.
  • Participates in regional and statewide sales meetings and conferences.
  • Maintains and updates all training documents and reference guides for retailers and local staff.
  • Assists lottery personnel with retailer troubleshooting and chronic retailer issues.
  • Assists with other projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • 2-4 years' experience in a marketing role.
