Dikita is an award-winning engineering and program management consulting firm that has been contributing to the nation's infrastructure for over four decades. The Marketing Specialist position is a vital role within the firm, reporting directly to the Director of Business Development. This role is primarily focused on managing the firm's digital marketing and proposal processes while fostering a culture of successful business development within the architectural, engineering, construction (A/E/C), and transit market research sectors. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including proposal preparation, branding, social media management, and maintaining the company website. In terms of proposal production, the Marketing Specialist will coordinate and manage the proposal processes for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs). This includes supporting the firm's marketing and communication initiatives by preparing and coordinating various documents such as proposals, resumes, qualifications, presentations, letters, reports, brochures, and press releases. The role requires ensuring quality results by adhering to proposal writing standards, managing multiple revisions, and maintaining a consistent message and tone throughout the proposals. The Marketing Specialist will also facilitate kick-off meetings and collaborate with senior management, Subject Matter Experts, engineers, project managers, and technical staff to develop innovative technical approaches and sound solutions. Additionally, the Marketing Specialist will create professional marketing materials, maintain a marketing database, and manage the firm's online presence, including updates to the website and social media profiles. The role also involves capturing and analyzing key social media metrics and coordinating special projects such as conferences and client events. In the realm of business development, the Marketing Specialist will monitor electronic sources for upcoming opportunities, represent the company at meetings and events, and maintain the CRM system. This position is essential for supporting the firm's growth and ensuring that marketing efforts align with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the proposal (RFP & RFQ) processes under the direction of the Director of Business Development.
  • Support the firm's marketing and communication initiatives, including preparation and coordination of proposals, resumes, qualifications, presentations, letters, reports, brochures, and press releases.
  • Ensure quality results by following proposal writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone.
  • Handle multiple revisions, edit/re-edit proposal sections as needed, and ensure proposals maintain a consistent message, tone, and voice.
  • Facilitate, coordinate, and participate in kick-off meetings and proposal production activities.
  • Collaborate with senior management, Subject Matter Experts, engineers, project managers, and technical staff to develop innovative technical approaches and sound technical solutions.
  • Coordinate with consultant firms for teaming and gathering marketing materials.
  • Produce PowerPoint presentations through collaboration and coordination with teams and oversee final production of presentation materials.
  • Facilitate preparations for project interviews and client presentations.
  • Create professional marketing materials including brochures, website content, company profile, company project descriptions, and employee resumes for proposals.
  • Maintain marketing database of proposals and collateral material.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain website content, including updates on project information, community involvement, and company highlights.
  • Manage the firm's employer brand profiles on LinkedIn and other appropriate social channels.
  • Capture and analyze key social media metrics (optional).
  • Coordinate other special projects such as conferences, sponsorship opportunities, and client/company events.
  • Assist in monitoring various electronic website sources to gather and disseminate information about upcoming opportunities.
  • Represent the company by attending meetings and events with potential and existing clients and partners.
  • Maintain the CRM system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or Journalism preferred.
  • Minimum five years of experience managing the proposal process.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the industries served by the firm.
  • Experience responding to government solicitations is preferred.
  • Excellent business writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional graphic design and layout skills.
  • Advanced/Expert computer skills - Windows, MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, and InDesign.
  • Ability to coordinate a diverse team of professionals and be a team player.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Multi-tasking skills are essential.
  • Exceptional inter-personal skills, with tact and diplomacy.
  • Proven record of managing the proposal process to produce relevant and winning proposals.
