About the position

The Marketing Specialist at City of Hope is responsible for contributing to various marketing projects, branding, and community engagement efforts. This role involves collaborating with the Marketing Manager to develop patient access plans and marketing campaigns aimed at increasing patient access and building trust within the community. The specialist will oversee day-to-day deliverables, manage community engagement events, and ensure timely project completion while tracking expenses and maintaining the budget.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to marketing projects and branding initiatives.
• Develop patient access plans and marketing campaigns in collaboration with the Marketing Manager.
• Implement hospital and affiliate marketing tactics.
• Gather information on new service line opportunities and technology advancements.
• Ensure project deliverables are met in a timely manner.
• Conduct weekly project status meetings with the Marketing Manager and AVP of Marketing and Communications.
• Oversee community engagement events related to Cancer Support Organizations (CSO).
• Assist in tracking expenses and processing invoices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of marketing or communications experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in a senior level healthcare business role.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, business, or related field.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience developing communications and marketing campaigns.
• Familiarity with AP Style.
• Experience writing and editing healthcare publications and stories.
• Knowledge of clinical and physician marketing platforms, including Doximity and Medscape.
