RLF is seeking a full-time Marketing Specialist to join our team and play a key role in advancing the firm’s brand and market presence. This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing and collaborates closely with the Federal and Healthcare Capture Managers to develop high-quality, opportunity-specific proposals that align with the firm’s strategic goals. Beyond proposal development, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to a variety of marketing initiatives that promote thought leadership, enhance brand awareness, and increase market visibility. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to continuous learning and improvement. Strong writing skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines are essential. A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in an engaging though fast-paced, deadline-driven environment are also key to success.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to assess compliance and requirements, contributing to Go/No-Go decisions and SWOT analyses.
  • Support Capture Managers in planning and kick-off coordination, and format proposal templates using InDesign to meet opportunity-specific requirements.
  • Develop customized content by collaborating with internal team members to gather technical information and managing external communication with subconsultants.
  • Ensure proposals align with client requirements and win themes through compelling graphics and content.
  • Oversee quality control of proposals and marketing deliverables, including content and formatting.
  • Manage third-party printing and binding of proposals and other deliverables.
  • Maintain the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system and update the proposal database throughout the pursuit process.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and client intelligence to inform strategic decisions.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to technical staff, contributing to marketing strategies that align with the firm’s objectives.
  • Support the Communications Manager in public relations, special events management, advertising, and social media efforts to strengthen brand awareness.
  • Manage the selection, inventory, and delivery of promotional items and conference/career fair giveaways.
  • Coordinate public relations events, including trade shows and special corporate events.
  • Participate in community functions, pre-proposal meetings, trade shows, and related events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Marketing, or Business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) years of experience in producing SF330 federal proposals within the AEC industry.
  • Three (3) years of experience in writing, editing, and proofreading.
  • Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) a plus.
  • Familiarity with the Architecture/Engineering/Construction (A/E/C) industry.
  • Graphic design skills, with proficiency in InDesign.
  • Strong interpersonal, client service and communications skills.
