About the position

Hogan Transportation is seeking a Marketing Specialist to support its sales and marketing operations. This role is crucial in creating and organizing marketing materials, graphics, and sales collateral, as well as developing creative work that includes print collateral, digital content, and other associated advertising. The Marketing Specialist will also manage the CRM platform, Salesforce, and provide essential support and training to the sales team. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for managing lead generation platforms and ensuring their integration with Salesforce, providing necessary training and support to Sales Representatives. Participation in weekly sales team update calls is expected, where the specialist will answer questions and provide insights. The creation of compelling sales collateral, such as PowerPoint presentations and infographics, is a key responsibility, along with training the sales organization on the effective use of these materials. Additionally, the specialist will coordinate the presentation development process for new contract business and maintain updated marketing and presentation materials. This includes managing quarterly and monthly sales collateral, making improvements and edits as needed by collaborating with various teams, including pricing, operations, engineering, marketing, and sales. The role also involves performing image retouching and manipulation, working with a wide range of media platforms, and utilizing graphic design software. Coordination with outside agencies, art services, web designers, and printers is also part of the job. The Marketing Specialist will review final layouts and suggest improvements, coordinate all sales meetings and training, and manage customer events. Other duties may be assigned by management as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Manage lead generation platforms and their integration with Salesforce, providing training and support to Sales Reps.
  • Participate in weekly sales team update calls, answering questions as needed.
  • Create compelling sales collateral such as PowerPoint presentations and infographics, and train sales organization on use of material.
  • Coordinate presentation development process for new contract business.
  • Create and maintain updated marketing and presentation materials.
  • Manage quarterly and monthly sales collateral, making improvements and edits as needed by collaborating across multiple teams, including pricing, operations, engineering, marketing, and sales.
  • Perform retouching and manipulation of images.
  • Work with a wide range of media platforms and use graphic design software.
  • Coordinate with outside agencies, art services, web designer, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary.
  • Review final layouts and suggest improvements when necessary.
  • Coordinate all sales meetings, sales training, and general customer events.
  • Collaborate with sales organization and admins to deliver customer presents, including holiday presents and tickets.
  • Coordinate business card printing and delivery.
  • Manage Salesforce, including managing account ownership, sales activities, data, data migration, documentation, and cross functional collaboration.
  • Train and assist new Sales Reps with Salesforce and complete ongoing training as needed with current Sales Reps.
  • Manage flows, formulas, reports, dashboards and general updates in Salesforce as needed.
  • Other duties as determined by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in general business, marketing, communications design, or another related field.
  • 1-2 years experience required.
  • 3PL, logistics, transportation sales experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web.
  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel to manage Salesforce and other data.
  • Excellent eye for detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, being able to manage multiple deadlines at once.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes.
  • Extensive knowledge of PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Canva, Adobe PhotoShop, and other graphic design software.
  • Compelling examples of work over a wide range of creative projects.
  • 2+ years of experience in a CRM, preferably Salesforce.
  • 1-2 years of experience creating and managing marketing material and sales collateral.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products including Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
