About the position

As a Marketing Specialist at Derse, you will play a crucial role in supporting our in-house marketing team based in Milwaukee. This position involves a diverse range of responsibilities aimed at enhancing our organization's market presence. You will be instrumental in proposal development and project management, contributing to sales and prospecting efforts, and managing brand promotion and communications. The role requires a creative yet technical mindset, as you will be expected to coordinate various marketing initiatives and ensure that our brand is effectively represented in all communications. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating proposal and pitch deliverables from inception to completion, ensuring that all materials meet high standards of quality and accuracy. You will provide technical writing and editing support, manage document workflows, and assist in the development of unique content tailored to our clients' needs. Additionally, you will supervise graphic design contributions and oversee the production standards of marketing materials. Collaboration is key in this role; you will partner with internal stakeholders to ensure that all deliverables are aligned with our strategic goals. This includes working closely with account teams to develop sales enablement materials and supporting prospecting initiatives through effective project management and marketing automation. You will also be responsible for monitoring existing business for new case study opportunities and writing success stories that highlight our achievements. This position requires you to be onsite at our corporate office a minimum of four days a week, reflecting our commitment to teamwork and collaboration. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate proposal and pitch deliverables from kickoff to development to production to delivery for competitive opportunities that have large potential sales volume or that are deemed appropriate based on scope.
  • Provide technical writing, technical editing, document management, content development, and production coordination, as needed.
  • Assist account teams in the development, review, editing, and production of custom/unique content.
  • Support brand positioning and service/capability differentiation under the direction of account/corporate leaders and departmental leaders.
  • Supervise graphic design involvement, document approvals, and production standards.
  • Lead project management efforts with all relevant and directly responsible members of the account pursuit team.
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and high-quality deliverables in RFX responses.
  • Collaborate with marketing stakeholders to help in the development, implementation, and communication of sales enablement materials.
  • Support corporate sales and marketing stakeholders in prospecting initiatives through project management, marketing automation, and writing.
  • Project manage sales support requests from receipt through completion.
  • Recommend content and information to account teams for specific sales initiatives.
  • Suggest process improvements and new ways to elevate sales enablement and prospecting.
  • Monitor existing business for new case study/story opportunities, while writing new success stories.
  • Provide strong insight and suggestions for content.
  • Research aware opportunities and identify applicable Derse projects for submission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field required.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience required. Trade show, event, and/or new business development efforts preferred.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong background in technical writing and some creative writing.
  • Experience within project management lifecycle is beneficial to this position.
