The role involves collaboration with external marketing agencies and internal stakeholders to create, plan, and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns using various digital platforms. In this position, the Marketing Specialist will coordinate the creation and publishing of digital content, assist in building performance reports on digital marketing activities, and support the implementation of SEO strategies. Regular updates to web content are also part of the responsibilities, ensuring that the company's online presence remains current and engaging. Additionally, the Marketing Specialist will play a key role in organizing trade shows, including researching venues, coordinating with vendors, and managing budgets to achieve event goals. The role also involves conducting market research to identify customer trends and competitor offerings, producing data sheets, and preparing sales presentations. The Marketing Specialist will set goals and objectives for customer engagement through various marketing channels and will assist in both outbound and inbound marketing activities, showcasing expertise in event planning, advertising, and content development. Presenting design ideas and recommendations to the VP of Marketing and Product Development is also a critical aspect of this role, requiring strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with sales or marketing representatives to understand product and communication needs.
  • Works closely with the marketing agency and internal stakeholders to create, plan, and execute campaigns in the CRM platform.
  • Coordinates the creation and publishing of digital content.
  • Assists in building reports on the performance of digital marketing activities and compares results against key performance indicators and ROI.
  • Supports digital marketing implementation and SEO execution, including frequent updates to web content.
  • Aids in researching and securing appropriate venues for trade shows, coordinating vendors and exhibitors, and managing budgets.
  • Conducts market research to identify customer trends, competitor offerings, and demographic data.
  • Produces data sheets, sales PowerPoint presentations, and organizes marketing materials.
  • Tracks marketing spending and creates goals and objectives to approach customers through appropriate marketing channels.
  • Helps in outbound and inbound marketing activities, displaying expertise in events planning, advertising, optimization, and content development.
  • Presents design ideas and recommendations to the VP of Marketing and Product Development, committee, or sales team.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Marketing or equivalent certifications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Three to five years of related experience in writing and editing projects; a portfolio of relevant previous projects is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work prolonged periods at a desk and on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
