About the position

The Marketing and Storytelling Operations Coordinator at Making Waves Education Foundation is a full-time role focused on promoting equity through accessible college and career resources. This position involves coordinating marketing and storytelling projects, managing digital operations, and supporting content management and analytics. The coordinator will work collaboratively within a small team to enhance brand awareness and engage supporters, while gaining exposure to various aspects of marketing and storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, scheduling, reviewing, and executing the marketing and storytelling content calendar.
  • Support and/or lead long- and short-term project planning, mapping out deliverables, and meeting deadlines.
  • Implement best practices in accessibility, diversity, equity, inclusion, and user experience in marketing and storytelling.
  • Create user-friendly training documents and establish repeatable processes for projects.
  • Support website management and coordinate project requests, edits, and updates.
  • Lead digital impact and analytics reporting, organizing and visualizing data from multiple sources.
  • Manage social media and digital channels, ensuring accessibility standards are met.
  • Support Google Ad Grant maintenance and SEO efforts.
  • Coordinate with vendors for photoshoots and media production, managing logistics and payments.
  • Manage photo and video database and file organization with attention to detail.
  • Support brand management and coordinate branded asset orders.
  • Provide writing, editing, proofreading, and administrative support for storytelling content.
  • Coordinate the implementation and optimization of marketing tools and technologies.
  • Monitor marketing tech stack and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Provide support for internal communications and project updates.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of combined relevant experience, including internships and project work.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project coordination skills.
  • Experience with digital and multimedia software and systems, including web content management and social media tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to implement feedback effectively.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to double-check work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Giphy, Google Analytics, and Asana.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards in marketing and storytelling.
