About the position

The Marketing Strategist & Project Manager at BNY Advisors is a Vice President level role responsible for leading marketing projects from conception to execution. This position requires strategic thinking, collaboration, and creative execution to effectively position the company's products and services in the market. The role involves managing project budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communication while ensuring alignment with the company's strategic priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Initiating, planning, and executing small to large scale marketing projects.
  • Coordinating campaign material across various channels including collateral, presentation, web, and social media.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to build product knowledge and leverage insights in marketing strategies.
  • Executing marketing plans and campaigns to support product roadmap and strategic priorities.
  • Driving execution including deliverables, scope, strategy, requirements, and implementation of projects.
  • Managing project budgets and timelines, tracking project performance using appropriate metrics and tools.
  • Keeping all project stakeholders informed about project progress, deadlines, and potential issues.
  • Proactively managing projects including resources, collaboration, budgets, and reporting.
  • Identifying resource needs and establishing roles, expectations, and goals with project team members.
  • Identifying, analyzing, mitigating, documenting, and controlling project risks.
  • Providing effective communication within the project team, stakeholders, sponsors, and management.
  • Managing team expectations and relationships.
  • Completing additional assigned tasks, such as compliance reviews and distribution.
  • Conducting after-action reviews.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of marketing and project management experience supporting large size and critical projects.
  • Superior understanding of marketing, business, operational, distribution, and sales processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Confirmed digital acumen and experience in prioritizing and handling multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to facilitate clear communication between cross-functional partners in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to build effective working relationships with business leaders.
  • Ability to identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement across the program.
  • Analytical thinking to break down complex issues into manageable parts.
  • Curiosity and ability to ask the right questions to gain knowledge.
  • Self-motivated with keen attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to lead multiple and challenging priorities.
  • Familiarity with marketing principles, responsibilities, tactics, and terminology.
