About the position

Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP is seeking a Marketing Technology Coordinator to join our expanding Marketing, Business Development, and Communications Team. This role is pivotal in driving and executing our CRM and online marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and capable of producing high-quality work while managing multiple projects simultaneously. The position is based in our Los Angeles office and requires in-office attendance three days a week, with flexibility for additional days as needed. The Marketing Technology Coordinator will report directly to the Senior Marketing Technology Manager and will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support our marketing technology efforts. Key responsibilities include updating and curating web content on our external website and intranet, managing email marketing campaigns using Pardot, and maintaining our CRM database in Salesforce. The coordinator will also assist with web development tasks, generate website analytics, and create data reports that provide actionable insights. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with the internal technology department to develop and test system enhancements related to marketing technology, as well as troubleshooting any technology-related questions from the marketing team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in management information systems or computer science, with two to three years of relevant work experience, preferably in a professional services or B2B environment. Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work collaboratively are essential for this role. The Marketing Technology Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness of our marketing initiatives and contributing to the overall success of the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Update content on external website and intranet daily
  • Post press coverage, Firm news, articles, events, bios, job opportunities, and awards
  • Assist with web development, including building templated pages
  • Generate website analytics and create data reports with actionable insights
  • Maintain Word and PDF versions of updated marketing materials
  • Resize and catalog images in media library; ensure consistency and brand compliance
  • Work with email marketing program (Pardot) to create newsletters and announcements
  • Format newsletters, obtain approvals, export mailing lists and schedule distributions
  • Analyze and report on newsletter readership statistics
  • Manage subscribers and bounced emails, updating opt-ins and opt-outs in CRM database
  • Proactively update contacts database (Salesforce) by categorizing and filtering contacts
  • Generate mailing lists and run reports and searches on an as-needed basis
  • Generate and review scheduled database audits to ensure quality and accuracy of reportable data
  • Research, correct and enter new contact data; resolve duplicates and bounce backs
  • Document data-related processes and procedures for reference and training
  • Liaise with internal technology department to develop and test system enhancements
  • Collaborate with technology department and outside vendors on software hosting and upgrades
  • Support the marketing team by troubleshooting technology questions regarding website, email marketing, and database needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in management information systems or computer science (preferred)
  • Two to three years of related work experience, preferably in a professional services or B2B environment
  • Superior client service skills and a willingness to deliver exceptional service
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team with a positive attitude
  • Desire to grow in the position and contribute to the marketing and business development team
  • High-speed data entry skills and exceptional attention to detail

  • Experience with website content management systems and related tools
  • Experience with HTML
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, and similar software

  • Experience with Salesforce (Sales Cloud) and Pardot (Account Engagement)
  • Current Salesforce certifications are a plus
  • Experience with Kontent.ai or similar content management systems
