Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search for an experienced Marketing Tradeshow Event Manager located in Blauvelt, NY. This position is a contract, 2-month assignment. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the planning and execution of a significant trade show that will be held in Chicago, IL, in late January 2015. The individual in this position will handle all logistics and setup for the event, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. This includes coordinating resources for the company booth, dinner events, and large meetings associated with the trade show. The role requires travel to Chicago for the duration of the show, and the candidate should be prepared to work extended hours during this period. In addition to the trade show responsibilities, the Marketing Tradeshow Event Manager will also support Marketing Communication efforts. This includes managing sales collateral and developing new materials for product introductions. The individual will work closely with Product Management to create and execute detailed advertising and promotional plans aimed at driving market acceptance and revenue generation. Furthermore, oversight of updates to the company website is required, ensuring that content and presentation align with corporate marketing objectives while preserving the corporate image in all company documents. The role also involves leading internal communication efforts both within the company and with independent sales representatives. The candidate will be responsible for identifying trade show opportunities, securing space, collaborating with product managers on content, and facilitating execution. Additional support for independent sales representatives will be necessary, including providing marketing collateral and product information. The individual will manage the company website, which includes updating site content, posting sales collateral for representatives, and monitoring website usage. Coordination of technical support for the website with an outside provider will also be part of the responsibilities. Lastly, the candidate will coordinate competitive bidding, ordering, and production of literature revisions and reprints, utilizing a network of suppliers and working with plant personnel to store excess materials, build catalogs, fulfill literature orders, and produce training support documents as needed.
