About the position

United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) is seeking a marketing volunteer to assist with launching a funding campaign over the next six months. This unpaid position offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience in the not-for-profit sector, with the potential for future paid contractor opportunities. The role involves working with a prestigious organization dedicated to promoting the independence and inclusion of individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of collateral materials
• Assist with content development for social media platforms
• Post on social media platforms to engage with the audience on a regular basis
• Help create collateral materials
• Other projects as assigned

Requirements

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with various social media platforms
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and follow up on assigned projects
• Reliability and sound judgement
• Flexibility and ability to work on several projects simultaneously
• Must be able to follow directions and work independently within a team environment
• Administrative/support experience and a positive, can-do attitude
• Completed or near completion of a BA in marketing, journalism, or public relations
• Available at least 5 hours a week
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Apps (Gmail, Docs, Sheets)
• Must be flexible, adaptive, and a team player
