About the position

As a Bartender at Tommy Bahama's Marlin Bar, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional guest experience in a relaxed environment. Your role will involve serving cocktails and light fare while ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for guests who may be shopping or dining. You will also be expected to maintain cleanliness, manage inventory, and adhere to company policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests with a friendly smile and assist with their food and beverage experience.
• Possess complete knowledge of all food and beverage menus, including ingredients and preparation methods.
• Participate in location-related meetings and training sessions, applying learned skills on the job.
• Practice proper cash handling and operate the point-of-sale system.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for team members and guests.
• Manage stock levels of perishables and spirits according to projected business needs.
• Verify proper identification of guests when alcohol is ordered.

Requirements

• Must meet the minimum age for preparing and serving alcoholic beverages.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Generally, 1+ year of bartending or related experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Prior guest service experience is necessary.
• Must have current food handler's card and alcohol service certification as required by law.
• Aptitude and enthusiasm to learn about all Tommy Bahama products.
