About the position
The Legal Intern position at Marvel offers a unique opportunity to work alongside in-house attorneys on various entertainment, corporate, and intellectual property matters. This internship is designed for law students who are eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic legal environment, contributing to projects related to feature films, streaming series, and animated productions.
Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting above-the-line and below-the-line agreements and various legal documents for feature films, streaming series, and animated productions.
- Analyze intellectual property rights and clearance issues involving Marvel assets.
- Support the legal team with production-related matters across live action feature films and streaming shows and animated projects.
- Review, update, and prepare form agreements.
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Relevant coursework in entertainment law, copyrights, trademark, intellectual property, and/or negotiation theory/strategy.
- Ability to take initiative and multitask in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple projects.
- Experience with researching and using a range of tools to acquire information and present findings.
- Detail-oriented approach, especially when processing a large volume of documents.
- Collaborative teammate who can also work independently.
- High degree of discretion regarding sensitive/confidential information.
