Mascot Assistant

About the position

The Minnesota Twins are seeking a part-time Mascot Assistant to enhance the game day experience and represent the organization at various events. This role involves performing as the Twins mascot, engaging with fans, and participating in promotional activities during home games and community events. The ideal candidate will embody the team's values and contribute to a positive atmosphere at Target Field and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Provide mascot assistance during Twins home games and represent the organization at public, private, community, and team events.
• Perform in-suit as the Twins mascot for a minimum of 15 home games and additional events as assigned.
• Assist the mascot in executing the game day script during home games.
• Engage with fans through interactive features, contests, and ceremonies at Target Field.
• Develop and execute creative ways for the mascot to entertain fans and support the Twins brand.
• Attend all pregame meetings for games worked as mascot.
• Care for and maintain costume, props, and equipment.

Requirements

• Prior sports or corporate mascot experience.
• Excellent physical skills, including dancing, tumbling, and gymnastics.
• Strong non-verbal communication skills for fan interaction while in costume.
• Positive, energetic, and creative personality.
• Ability to manage crowds effectively and respond quickly to situations.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic baseball/softball skills, including the ability to catch.
• Experience performing in front of large crowds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
