About the position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various masonry techniques, including bricklaying, concrete pours, and stone work, and will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair walls, floors, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, or stone.
• Lay tiles for flooring or walls with precision and attention to detail.
• Operate heavy equipment as needed for construction tasks.
• Perform caulking and sealing to ensure durability and weather resistance of masonry work.
• Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople on site to complete projects efficiently.
• Finish concrete surfaces to achieve the desired texture and appearance.
• Work with stucco materials for exterior finishes as required.
• Restore existing brickwork by repairing damaged areas while maintaining structural integrity.
• Utilize hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Brick Mason or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Knowledge of hardscape techniques and tile laying is preferred.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is an advantage.
• Ability to perform concrete finishing tasks accurately.
• Experience with stucco application is desirable.
• Strong understanding of safety practices on construction sites.
• Proficient in using hand tools related to masonry work.
• Excellent physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as needed.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
