About the position
We are seeking a skilled Mason Tender to join our team in Wildwood, FL. The Mason Tender will play a crucial role in assisting masons by preparing worksites, cleaning tools, and ensuring that materials are readily available for masonry projects. This position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to work effectively in a team environment, and a commitment to safety and quality in all tasks performed. The Mason Tender will be responsible for setting up scaffolding, ladders, and other equipment necessary for masonry work, as well as mixing mortar and grout according to specifications. Additionally, the role involves transporting materials such as bricks, blocks, and stones to masons, cleaning tools and equipment after use, and assisting with the installation of concrete, plaster, drywall, and roofing materials. The Mason Tender may also perform caulking and other masonry work as needed, contributing to the overall success of construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare worksites by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and other equipment.
- Mix mortar and grout according to specifications.
- Transport materials such as bricks, blocks, and stones to masons.
- Clean tools and equipment after use.
- Assist with the installation of concrete, plaster, drywall, and roofing materials.
- Perform caulking and masonry work as needed.
Requirements
- Prior experience in masonry or construction is preferred.
- Familiarity with trim carpentry, concrete finishing, and blueprint reading.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
