About the position

Torticity is seeking a Mass Tort Quality Control Paralegal who will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of legal documents related to mass tort cases. This position requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as the ability to maintain high-quality standards in document review and case management. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and accountable, capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed quality control review of discovery and settlement documents, including Plaintiff Fact Sheets, Plaintiff Profile Forms, Census documents, and settlement forms.
  • Analyze case reviews, investigate missing information, and document next steps.
  • Extensive interaction with appropriate parties.
  • Assist the Quality Control Manager with developing, implementing, and maintaining systems and procedures.
  • Continually evaluate processes and procedures and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain a confidential, HIPAA-compliant environment.

Requirements

  • Preferred minimum of 5 years law firm experience, preferably as a Paralegal or Legal Intern while in Law School.
  • Experience in Mass Tort, Personal Injury, or Medical Malpractice law is preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of case cycle from intake to settlement.
  • Experience in preparation of discovery documents including Plaintiff Fact Sheets, Plaintiff Profile Forms, Census documents.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Strong critical thinking and research skills.
  • Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
  • Flexibility to pivot to different projects with little notice.
  • Previous legal experience in plaintiff product liability, defective drugs, or personal injury is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Knowledge of the Spanish language is a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
