About the position

The Massage Therapist position at Seton Healthcare Corp involves administering therapeutic massage and bodywork modalities to patients. The role requires interviewing patients to assess their medical history and desired outcomes, applying appropriate massage techniques, and monitoring patient responses to treatment. The therapist is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized therapy area and documenting all relevant patient information and treatment results.

Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic massage and bodywork modalities.
• Interview patients to determine medical history, condition, desired results, and appropriate modality.
• Apply selected modality, concentrating on areas of particular discomfort.
• Monitor patient's responses to treatment and adjust, change, or terminate treatment based on feedback.
• Document patient information, interview responses, treatments, feedback, and results.
• Maintain therapy area in a clean, safe, and organized state.
• Order supplies as necessary.

Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Able to provide high quality massage therapy services tailored to the needs of the individual client.
• Skilled in Swedish, deep tissue, and therapeutic modalities.
• Knowledge of and ability to perform reflexology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Maintain accurate chart records and treatment notes.
• Uphold company standards of service, professionalism, ethics, and client confidentiality.
• Uphold infection control and safety standards.
• Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
