About the position

The Massage Therapist at Glens Falls Hospital is responsible for providing therapeutic massage sessions specifically for oncology clients. The role aims to enhance circulation, promote relaxation, and alleviate stress, pain, and injuries. The therapist will work closely with healthcare providers to ensure compliance with health standards while treating patients with cancer.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional quality massage within scope of practice and licensing while creating an excellent client/guest experience through a friendly and helpful attitude.
• Completes Wellness Chart documentation accurately and completely.
• Communicates with clinical staff regarding any issues related to client/member experiences.
• Cleans massage/Reiki space in between clients per infection control guidelines.
• Schedules/reschedules massage therapy appointments as needed.

Requirements

• Massage Therapy License
• Massage School with certification
• Oncology Massage Therapy certification preferred and required within 1 year.

Nice-to-haves

• Reiki Master Certification preferred
• Reiki Master training preferred
