About the position

The Massage Therapist at Wind Creek Chicago Southland is responsible for providing professional body massages and treatments to guests, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and adherence to spa protocols. This role requires excellent massage techniques, knowledge of the body, and a commitment to cleanliness and sanitation. The therapist will engage with guests, promote spa services, and maintain a positive work environment while working in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Arrives on time for scheduled shifts and performs services within the allotted time.
• Receives guests courteously and provides professional massages and body treatments.
• Opens and closes each shift according to Standard Operating Procedures and maintains equipment.
• Provides accurate descriptions of spa treatments and actively promotes services and promotions.
• Maintains knowledge of the property and special events to advise guests.
• Responds to guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Works independently and maintains cleanliness in treatment rooms.
• Attends and participates in training and staff meetings for the Spa.
• Assists in all areas of the spa operation as needed.
• Ensures confidentiality of guest information.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
• Currently hold and maintain an Illinois massage license.
• Minimum of 600 hours massage training in various modalities.
• Must have CPR certification.
• Experience in administering treatments to male and female guests.
• Demonstrate hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift, pull, push, and/or carry items over fifty (50) pounds.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have an Occupational License or the ability to obtain one.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous spa or salon experience.
• Comfortable with in-room and poolside massage.
• Ability to portray a calm demeanor under stress.
