About the position

The Master and Reference Data Strategy Sr Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the strategic evolution and adoption of Master and Reference Data within a large financial services organization. This position focuses on creating, maintaining, and promoting a unified and consistently defined enterprise-wide Master and Reference Data framework, collaborating closely with the Data Governance team and various business lines to address data quality issues and implement effective data management processes.

Responsibilities

• Review and examine current and future state Reference Data processes and architectures for continuous improvement.
• Engage with Citi operations, technology, and compliance to ensure alignment with Citi Data Standards.
• Analyze data models to identify patterns and inconsistencies across sources and targets, documenting findings.
• Participate in data cleanup efforts and track the status of data capture, storage, and consumption.
• Assist with business-as-usual (BAU) data management processes across the data lifecycle, including documentation, testing validation, maintenance, and change efforts.
• Research external authoritative sources of Reference Data and manage updates to Reference Data sets.
• Collaborate with information owners and technology partners to define and implement key documentation and project deliverables.
• Track compliance with Master and Reference Data governance requirements.
• Facilitate the resolution of issues related to Master and Reference Data use and quality.
• Work with key stakeholders to define success, develop supporting metrics, and build visualization and analytics.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in the Banking or Finance industry preferred.
• Proven ability to provide in-depth analysis and develop innovative solutions.
• Experience in managing successful projects.
• Optimizes work processes with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Ability to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders while managing tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills in non-technical terms at all organizational levels.
• Experience in Master and Reference Data domains such as Party/Customer, Account, Product, etc.
• Proficient in basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
