About the position

The MasterCam Programmer specializing in 5 Axis Machining will play a critical role in the design, development, and production of complex machinery within a dynamic engineering team. This position requires a highly skilled individual who is adept at CNC programming and is committed to improving processes and outcomes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain MasterCam programs for 5 Axis machining.
• Translate engineering designs and CAD models into CNC programs using MasterCam software.
• Perform complex programming tasks, including the creation of custom macros and scripts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CNC programming and machine operation.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize designs for manufacturability.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of CNC programs to ensure the highest level of accuracy and quality.
• Provide technical support and guidance to machine operators, including training on new programs and processes.
• Continuously monitor and analyze production processes to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in CNC programming and 5 Axis machining.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC programming, specifically with MasterCam and 5 Axis machining.
• Proficient in the use of CNC, Mill, and Lathe machinery.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, machining processes, and material properties.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
• A degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Certifications in CNC programming or MasterCam are highly desirable.
