About the position

The CNC Programmer II/III at SHINE Career Collective LLC is responsible for ensuring high standards in the manufacturing of precision machined components. This role involves working with advanced CNC machines and requires the ability to implement automated manufacturing processes while maintaining product quality. The position offers significant growth opportunities within a dynamic organization that supports commercial aerospace, spaceflight, and semiconductor technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing solutions for complex components in commercial aerospace, spaceflight, and semiconductor industries.
  • Comprehend engineering notes and communicate with customers to conceptualize and complete designs.
  • Visualize concepts from 2D to 3D and design standard and custom tooling solutions.
  • Use SolidWorks and MasterCam software to develop tools and process designs for production.
  • Create and complete accurate drawings for custom tools and fixtures under tight deadlines.
  • Ensure timely output of drawings for customer approval and support production groups during tool creation.
  • Provide feedback to engineers on component enhancements for manufacturability.
  • Level 3 responsibilities include streamlining SolidWorks to CAM programming and training new designers.

Requirements

  • Proficient in SolidWorks and 3-D modeling with advanced knowledge of MasterCam.
  • Conceptual design visualization skills and ability to communicate complex ideas.
  • Ability to problem solve efficiently and work toward simple solutions to complex problems.
  • Aptitude for mechanical design and ability to design intermediate to complex multi-part assemblies.
  • Knowledge of ASME Print Reading and GD&T fundamentals.
  • Ability to review designs for quality control.
  • Excellent computer skills and understanding of file systems.
  • General understanding of material properties, uses, machinability, and finishes.
