About The Position

The Master Control Operator at WLOS/MY40TV is responsible for overseeing broadcast operations, ensuring the smooth transmission of television programs and commercials. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can operate specialized software and electronic equipment in a fast-paced environment, supporting both live and taped programming.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Master Control Operator is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, control, and monitor television broadcast equipment to transmit programs and commercials.
• Perform on-air switching, dubbing, and transferring of programs.
• Gather satellite feeds for broadcast use.
• Prepare and operate equipment before, during, and after live newscasts.
• Support the production of newscasts and other live or taped programming for television and multi-platform use.
• Assist Engineering, News, and other departments to support station operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
